The Devonshire Place Orchard Bioblitz
With grateful thanks to Clive and his Ambios colleagues, local residents enjoyed a sun-blessed day in the orchard on Saturday 14th May, where its very first bioblitz was undertaken.
The weather was wonderful and by the end of a busy day's biological surveying a staggering 218 beetles, bugs and wonderfully-named plants and fungi were indentified; everything from Yorkshire Foghorn, Dog Violets and Stinking Iris!
Clive will be preparing a report on the results, a small selection of photos appear further down the page (more to come), and our very own film maker, Ross, has created a lovely video record of the day (below).
